The 2013 EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
Arrival at the Festival
September 2013
Fall at EPCOT means only one thing.
The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.
The EPCOT International Food and Wine festival takes place every day for
several weeks in the fall. In 2013, the festival runs from September 27'th
through November 11'th.
For most people, the main part of the festival involves sampling food and
wines from various kiosks that are temporarily set up around World Showcase.
The kiosks are themed to a particular country, region, or concept and offer
food and wine samplings respectively. Food samples are small appetizer
portions. The wine samplings are rather small as well. The cost
for each sampling is between $3 to $13.
There are also special food and wine demonstrations, pairings, and full
dinners that are an additional charge and typically involve appearances by
known chefs and sommeliers.
The official page for this festival is located
here on the Walt Disneyworld website.
Plywood cut-out Chef Mickey welcomes guests to the festival.
The official festival banner.
The Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog is set up in the Futureworld courtyard.
Presented by Ocean Spray, this bog has been at the festival for the last few
years.
"Sometimes the cranberries get into my boots
and get all squishy."
Craft Beers kiosk is located at the entrance to World Showcase.
There is no need to enter World Showcase without a buzz.
At a nearby festival merchandise location was this art collection of Whiskers and
Wine; because as you know, cats love wine.
Some booths open a little before the 11AM kick-off time
and allow us to get a jump-start ahead of the crowds.
